And the Bride Wore White

My husband and I recently attended a wedding.

It was a beautiful ceremony held out doors on a beautiful day. The preacher said that perhaps this appointed day was not unlike one of the days when God would meet with Adam and Eve in the garden all those years ago. It was a cool afternoon, the breeze gently blowing through the trees and the sun was slowly sinking into the horizon and a young man and a young woman were about to pledge their lives to one another before their friends and family.

It was a worshipful ceremony.

The bride and groom faced one another and sang these two songs.

As I joyfully joined in worship with them I could not help but be reminded of another worship song that has been reverberating in my heart recently and that is Matt Redmond’s “Your Grace Finds Me”.

These words “It’s there on the wedding day, There in the weeping by the graveside, There in the very breath we breathe, Your great grace” Remind us that His great grace is all around us...in every event from the most joyful, the wedding day, to our seemingly most sorrowful, the graveside. But we who believe know that death has no sting for those of us who have been captured by His grace.

Enjoy the song by Matt, and Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Richard Henry Davies Jr.

May God bless your marriage with many years of joy and service to Him.

XOXO
